HNCF Launches Educational Resources Store

Charity partners with Head and Neck Academic Centre to launch an educational resource store for Medical Professionals.

In partnership with the Head and Neck Academic Centre (HNAC), the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation (HNCF) is launching the Educational Resource Store to provide medical professionals with insightful academic developments.

HNAC, based at University College London, runs a series of monthly lectures which promote discussions and provide a refreshing insight into head and neck diseases. With the help of the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, they are bringing these resources to a wide range of medical professionals.

The online lectures cover a wide range of issues in oral and maxillofacial surgery from leaders in the speciality. Subjects scope the breakthrough imaging of parotid tumours to the advantages of tracheostomies. Special lectures are also featured, for example on Covid-specific issues or the topic of women in healthcare in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Each lecture costs £5 or the entire 2021 series is available for £50. This money is a donation to the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, which works to raise awareness for, and the adoption of, ground-breaking head and neck cancer treatments.

Professor Mark McGurk, Director of the HNAC and Clinical lead of the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, comments on the impact this will have on the wider oral and maxillofacial community; “This platform means that a greater proportion of the medical community can access the amazing developments explained in this lecture series. The more people that know about advances in the field mean that more patients will have access to these much less invasive options for treating head and neck cancers.”

The Educational Resources Store is available on the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation’s website.
